It happened on a Tuesday, in the middle of prime time. The viewer counter went from 120,000 to zero in a single blink. It wasn't the router. It was the audience: millions of minds dragged through the fiber optic cable by an entity born in the deep web, one that worked out the most valuable currency in the universe isn't money. It's attention.
Just Dying is built on an uncomfortable idea: a streamer only exists while someone is watching. With no audience, the characters begin to fade. They don't die — reality simply forgets they were ever there. Rescued subscribers orbit the player like will-o'-the-wisps and get invested in the Atlas, a 53-node tree with 100 points to spend. Trading away the people you came to save is, literally, the game's economy.
The roster is 20 playable characters, each with a unique starting weapon and passive. On top of that sit 31 weapons, runes that rewrite your stats and relics that break the rules of a run outright. Plus an online Versus mode where two players run parallel arenas and send each other enemies, bosses and disasters from a deck of cards.

Looping previews. The GIF (540×304) suits social and articles. The MP4 (960×540) is twice the resolution and weighs less: that is the one for a CMS.
PNG with transparency. The black outline works on light and dark backgrounds alike.

It's attention. Just Dying is built on an uncomfortable idea: a streamer only exists while someone is watching. With no audience, the game's characters fade. They don't die - reality simply forgets they were ever there. So they jump into the portal, not out of heroism, but because with no audience the show gets cancelled permanently. Rescued subscribers orbit the player like will-o'-the-wisps and get invested in the Atlas, a 53-node tree with 100 points to spend. Trading away the people you came to save is, literally, the game's economy. The roster is 20 playable characters, each drawn from a real figure in the Spanish-language streaming scene, and each with their own starting weapon and passive. On top of that sit 31 weapons, runes that rewrite your stats and relics that break the rules of a run outright. Three of the streamers represented have already approved their characters: Gérier (OnlyRoguelikes), Orslok's team and Menos Trece.
